MANA de Albuquerque’s Hermanitas program is designed to encourage and support Hispanic adolescent girls to stay in school, pursue high academic and career goals, and to optimize their health. With the help of mentors, participants in the program learn to foster connection with themselves, their families and their communities, raising their self-confidence and expectations for the future. This scholarship program is supported in part by Nusenda Foundation and Community Rewards.
In this video, former Hermanita Karina Miramontes talks about the importance of the program and how it has helped her achieve personal and professional success.
