The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) has named New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union's President & Chief Executive Officer, Terry Laudick, CEO of the Year. Mr. Laudick acknowledges the award "as a tremendous honor" and credits the member-owners, volunteers, community partners and a dedicated executive team and staff for the successes achieved at New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union. As CEO of the Year for Credit Unions with assets over $750 million, Mr. Laudick will be honored in July at the NAFCU's 46th Annual Conference & Solutions Expo in Boston, Massachusetts.
Terry Laudick first joined the Executive Team at New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union in 1993 as Vice President of Marketing and in 2000 was named CEO. Laudick says, "The strength of the Credit Union is in our commitment to do good for our members and our communities. The Credit Union is a resource that provides us all an opportunity to feel purpose in what we do and to impact the lives of others. "
Under Laudick's leadership, New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union instituted a strategy to communicate the Credit Union philosophy to the community, improve operations, educate its employees, improve financial performance and provide financial education to its member-owners. These initiatives resulted in New Mexico Educators FCU's faster than average growth in assets, loans, shares, capital, members, employees and community support.
New Mexico Educators FCU has grown from $483 million in assets and 70,000 members in 2000 to $1.275 billion in assets and over 130,000 in members in 2012. Over the past eight years, New Mexico Educators FCU has returned over $14.6 million to its member-owners in community grants and bonus dividends. Today the Credit Union celebrates a Member Satisfaction rating of 98.5% and an Employee Satisfaction rating of 96%.

Terry Laudick, CCUE, CUDE has been with New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union since 1993. He became President and CEO of the Credit Union in 2000 and previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Marketing. He has previously worked for credit unions and credit union leagues in Kansas, Oklahoma and New York. Terry is a Certified Credit Union Executive, Credit Union Development Educator, and a Graduate of the CUES Executive Marketing Institute, CUNA Management School and CUNA Marketing School. He has a Bachelor's Degree from St. Mary of the Plains College of Dodge City, Kansas. In addition to his position at the Credit Union, Terry serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of CO-OP Financial Services and has held a number of board positions on civic organizations, including the College and Career High School, CNM Foundation, the Albuquerque Public Schools Foundation, and the CU Anytime Board of Directors.
