The Nusenda Foundation announced today that Barbara Lopez has been named Nusenda Foundation’s newest Financial Education Innovator. Lopez is a small business and financial literacy teacher with Encuentro New Mexico, a Latino immigrant community center in the heart of Albuquerque.

The Nusenda Foundation announced today that April Christensen, founder and program manager of the Kids Can youth entrepreneurship initiative based out of the Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico (CAASNM) in Las Cruces, has been named Nusenda Credit Union and the Nusenda Foundation’s most recent Financial Education Innovator.

Fourteen local charities benefit from credit union and employees’ donations of more than $47,500

Julian Griego, Lead Instructor/Chef de Cuisine for the Street Food Institute, has been named the most recent recipient of the Financial Education Innovator Award.
