Dual credit programs and internships

Nusenda partners with local community colleges and school districts to provide dual credit programming focused on careers in the financial services industry, basic economics, and personal financial skills. After completing the course, high school students are eligible to apply for the Nusenda Internship, earning college credit through experiential learning.

Dual credit programs

Nusenda partners with education systems across New Mexico for specialized dual credit classes.  Dual credit is a program designed for high school students to earn credit in their high school AND in a local college or university. These courses, which can be offered as a core content area course (in Economics), an elective, or within a Career Cluster, are designed with the learner in mind.

In each course, students will earn dual credit, engage with a variety of guest speakers from New Mexico who work in the industry, and build a professional resume.  This resume may be used to apply for the Nusenda Internship, college or trade school, scholarships, and other internship or job opportunities.
